Central Library

The new Central Library is part of the £13 million Civic Centre Project which includes a seafront café, a family history centre and a contact centre where people will be able to do business with the authority face to face. The new Central Library is 2000 square metres in size, which is two 5 aside football pitches! It has 100% more books to borrow, 'rhyme time' for little ones, local history talks, 60 computer terminals with Internet access, reading groups and plenty of exciting events for all the family. Open Tue-Fri 8:30am-8pm and Sat-Sun 10am-4pm.
